Charles Seale-Hayne was a Liberal MP for Ashburton, Devon, from 1885 until his death in 1903. His legacy funded the establishment of Seale-Hayne Agricultural College at Newton Abbot, now merged with University of Plymouth, and the Library now also takes his name.
